Great Outdoor Weekend

September 27 & 28, 2008

Free Tours!   "Evolution on the Farm"

Times:10-12 Noon & 2-4 PM

Visit our working farm and see evolution at work. Milk a goat and learn how farmers use the principles of evolution to change the characteristics of their milk herds. Visit the farm's garden and learn how the evolution of grasslands led to the evolution of ruminant animals (goats, sheep, cows, deer, etc.) and why they evolved to have no upper front teeth.

See why evolution is the most important and profound scientific discovery in 200 years. Learn why nothing in biology or medicine makes sense without evolution.
Bring the kids to help with the farm chores and have a ton of fun on the farm.

"The theory of biological evolution is among the most powerful and significant scientific contributions of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries."

Ernst Mayer, quoted in: Evolution in Perspective (NSTA) p.xiii
