| A species
changes over time due to several factors: heredity, variability,
changes in the environment, and natural selection. Students can
observe heredity and variability as they visit a granny goat
with her daughter and her granddaughter. Heredity is evident in
the genetic trait of eye shape that both female and male have
passed on. Variation is evident in the different shape of the
ears of the offspring. |
