Evolution occurs over millions of years. For most
visitors, it is difficult to imagine a million years.
At Sunrock Farm, children and adults engage in a game called the
Parade of Life.
Visitors place sea creatures on a blue towel. After each
placement, they say that millions of years passed and nature
changed this organism.
In this way, they grow in awareness of the long time it took for
organisms to evolve and adapt to their environment. |
